I hate ’em

So, I’m sitting in one of my favorite little “hang out” spots: Black Dog Coffee House.  Not really favorite as in, “I come here all the time.”  It’s more favorite like, “This is a sweet place to hang out and I don’t come here often enough.”

I just said buh-bye to my friend Jason.  He’s leaving KC on Saturday, headed to Princeton, NJ to work on his doctorate in New Testament Studies.  He’s a great friend…and has been a great friend for a long time now.  One of those guys who has added lots of value to my life in a lot of ways and I’m not real excited to see him go.

I’m reminded of the value and power of friendships; and I’m thanking God for the solid friends He’s blessed me with.

I still hate goodbyes

Hello Blog

Ok…  So when I look at my blog and realize that I haven’t updated since January, I’m a little amazed.  Time is flying by!  I’m not sure if that’s always a good thing or not.

So, here are two things that have made me laugh recently: #1 and #2.  Enjoy…and if you want to go the extra mile, try this.

More thoughtful updates to come!
